Bidhall

the hall's ledger
0.002 opens the hall first move: the door is open

The hall opens when $BIDHALL goes live. Nobody holds it yet: the first paddle at 0.002 ETH takes the door, and whoever tops that bid sends the 0.002 back to its owner as 0.0023, the extra 15% paid out of their own pocket. Every bid after clears the hall by 0.001 or more. When the clock runs out, the top bid gets its bid back, keeps the hall, and takes 3% of every bid in the next session as rent.

0.002 opens the hall. Top it with 0.003+ and the 0.002 goes back as 0.0023.

    How the hall works

    1. Top. Holders of 20,000 $BIDHALL top the hall. The opening bid is 0.002 ETH; every top clears the hall's bid by at least 0.001.
    2. Topped. The bid you top is credited back in full plus 15% of it, paid by you, the moment your top lands.
    3. Rent. 3% of every bid goes to the keeper. Before the hall has a keeper, it goes into the session till.
    4. Close. When the clock runs out the top bid gets its bid back plus the till, keeps the hall and becomes the keeper for the next session. A top in the last 2 minutes moves the close to 2 minutes out.
    worked top

0.030 holds the hall. You top at 0.031 and send 0.031 + 0.0045 (15% of 0.030) + 0.00093 rent = 0.03643. The 0.030 bidder is credited 0.0345. If nobody tops your 0.031 before the close, it comes back to you and the hall is yours: 3% of every bid next session is your rent.
